Paul Edward Swing

Paul Swing is a London-based playwright whose writing spans plays, short stories, essays, autobiographical narratives and current affairs commentary. His screenplay adaptation of his first play, Who’s Afraid of Elizabeth Taylor?, has been recognised internationally, reaching semi-finalist status at a number of film festivals, including the Paris International Short Festival and the Madrid Arthouse Film Festival in 2025.

The film has been screened at independent cinemas across London, including Sands Film Studios in Rotherhithe, where the stage version was later performed and filmed. Paul Swing’s work is also preserved within the LGBTQA+ Archives at the Bishopsgate Institute in London, where it is available for consultation on request.
